Every Child Deserves a Safe Experience
The essential standards expected from everyone interacting with children through K12 Hunar.
Children Come First
A child's safety, dignity, and well-being take priority over participation, promotion, or program outcomes.
Clear Adult Boundaries
All adult interactions must remain professional, age-appropriate, and connected to an approved educational purpose.
Consent and Supervision
Parent, guardian, or school involvement is required according to the child's age, activity, and applicable requirements.
No Abuse or Exploitation
Abuse, grooming, harassment, sexual conduct, intimidation, discrimination, and exploitation are prohibited.
Privacy Is Respected
Children's information, images, work, and communications must be handled responsibly.
Concerns Are Taken Seriously
Safety concerns are assessed promptly and referred to appropriate authorities where legally required.

The Principles Guiding Our Decisions
Best Interests of the Child
Decisions involving children should prioritise their safety, dignity, development, and well-being.
Age-Appropriate Participation
Activities, content, communication, and expectations should suit the child's age and maturity.
Respect and Inclusion
Every child must be treated fairly and without harassment, humiliation, discrimination, or retaliation.
Minimum Necessary Access
Adults should access only the information and communication channels required for their authorised role.
Prompt and Responsible Action
Concerns should be documented, escalated, and handled according to their risk and applicable law.
Consent and Adult Involvement
Parent, guardian, or school authorisation may be required before a child:
- Creates or uses certain account features
- Joins an event, program, Club, or mentorship activity
- Submits personal information, documents, or project work
- Appears in a photograph, video, recording, or testimonial
- Makes a payment or enters a paid arrangement
Consent requests should clearly explain the activity, information collected, communication method, fees, and relevant participation requirements.
A child's expression of interest or form submission does not replace required parent, guardian, or school approval. Consent may be withdrawn for future participation or use, subject to applicable legal and operational requirements.
K12 Hunar may take urgent protective or legally required action without prior consent where permitted by law.
Detailed information about children's personal data is provided in the Privacy Policy.
